Abstract: My course will be dedicated to the 1d Burgers and 2d Navier-Stokes equations under periodic boundary conditions, perturbed by random forces. These equations are used to model the turbulence in dimensions 1 and 2. Motivated by this physical meaning of the two equations, I will discuss the asymptotical properties of their solutions under the two limits: time goes to infinity and viscosity goes to zero. To do this I will use tools from the stochastic calculus and optimal control, well applicable to other nonlinear stochastic PDEs.
