International Program on Regularity Structures and Stochastic Systems was held

2018-08-27

The International Program on Regularity Structures and Stochastic Systems was held in South Building (AMSS, CAS) on July 9th-August 3rd. Over 180 scholars from England, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Israel, America, Canada, Brazil, Japan and China participated in this Program. The Program was composed of a one-week workshop named “Workshop on Stochastic Systems: their Analysis, Geometry and Perturbation” on July 10th-14th and 7 mini-courses about “Regularity Structures” on July 16th – August 3rd. It was organized by AMSS, CAS in cooperation with Imperial College London and was sponsored by Hua Loo-Keng Center for Mathematical Science.

The speakers in workshop include Professor Martin Hairer who was awarded the Fields Medal in 2014 (Imperial College London, UK), Professor J.D. Deuschel (Technical University of Berlin, Germany), Professor K.D. Elworthy (University of Warwick, UK), Professor Martin Grothaus (Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany), Professor Massimiliano Gubinelli (University of Bonn, Germany), Professor Yuri Kifer (Hebrew University, Israel), Professor Michael Röckner (“Thousand People Plan”, AMSS, CAS), Professor Anton Thalmaier (University of Luxembourg, Luxembourg). About forty probabilistic researchers gave talks during the workshop and they introduced their recent works on stochastic analysis, stochastic differential geometry and stochastic (partial) differential equations. Professor Hairer showed his recent results on “Stochastic quantization of Yang-Mills Field” during the workshop. Moreover, Professor Hairer and his research group gave some mini-courses about “Regularity Structures theory”, in particular Professor Hairer gave an 10-hours course (5 lectures).
